Announcement for 03/12/09
Funding Available for Child Support Enforcement Projects for Prisoner Reentry Initiative (PRI) Grantees
The Administration for Children and Families, Federal Office of Child Support Enforcement released a solicitation for State IV-D agencies (agencies that oversee child support enforcement) to submit proposals for the jurisdictions in their States that are grantees of the Prisoner Reentry Initiative (PRI) funded through the United States Department of Justice and United States Department of Labor. The purpose of the grant program is to develop a systematic approach to addressing and resolving as many child support case issues as possible so that the parents with criminal records are able to meet their child support obligations.
Funding is available for experimental, pilot, or demonstration projects that (1) are designed to improve the financial well-being of children or improve the operation of the child support program, and (2) do not permit modifications in the child support program that would negatively affect children in need of support.
Application Deadline: May 4, 2009
