Columbia's Christian Reentry Coalition
Our mission is to mobilize and prepare believers in a cooperative and unified effort under Christ to see returning offenders experience the reality of His love and be empowered to prosper in every area of their life. The purpose of the coalition is to provide wrap-around Christian support to recently released offenders returning to Columbia, MO and to encourage their efforts to become productive members of society.

- If your initiative/program serves people under community corrections supervision, how does your organization work in partnership or work in collaboration with participants’ probation or parole officers?
- Columbia's Christian Reentry Coalition is a faith-based sub-committee of the Boone County Offender Transition Network which is co-chaired by Probation and Parole District Administrator Dana Thompson. We regulary share information and attend the same meetings.

- An intake is conducted on all participant and demographic data collected. Data collection has been recently implemented. No results have been determined.

- Yes

- We track service units in the following areas: Education, Basic Essentials, Employment, Family Support, Housing, Mental Health, Substance Abuse, Transportation, and Housing. We began tracking services August 1st, 2010. No results have been identified.
- Does your organization measure and/or track the outcome of participation?
- Yes
- If "yes", what kind of data? And what results has this data yielded?
- We track job placement, and permanent housing placement. We have partnered with the Missouri Department of Corrections who will track recidivism. No results at this time. Data collection recently implemented.
Activities
- What, if any, activities does your initiative/program include for people while they are incarcerated and how do these activities differ from those offered to the general population?
- We initiate mentor relationships while offenders are still incarcerated through our pen-pal program. This relationship takes on a more traditional mentorship look post release.
- What activities does your organization engage in post-release and how do these activities differ from those offered to the general population?
- Prosperous Journey is a Christian transition house available to participants who have engaged in the CCRC mentorship program. Transitional employment is available to residents of the house. Ongoing mentorship in the community is also a CCRC service.
